Faith, Family, and Phonetics
Hours: Monday - Friday 4:30PM - 6:30PM
Hi! I’m Allison and I’ve spent the last 15 years learning, growing, and helping children achieve their speech and language goals. Holding a Masters of Communication Disorders (MCD) in Speech Language Pathology and ASHA Certified Certificate of Clinical Competence, my role as an SLP has allowed me to work with children in private practice settings, schools, homes, and daycares in the Bossier and Benton area. It is a profound honor to serve the children and families in our community.
Faith and family are my highest priorities. It is my belief that we are all born with a God given purpose. The Biblical story of Moses has always fascinated me. God commanded Moses to speak to the Pharoah and Moses objected saying “I am slow of speech and tongue” and eventually “Please send someone else.” This humble plea from Moses for God to use someone else who was better equipped breaks my heart. Regardless of how little or how much we are able to speak, God calls us all to be of service to further His kingdom. It is the privilege of a lifetime and a responsibility that I don’t carry lightly to work with God’s most precious creation – His children.
About Allison’s Speech Therapy For Kids:
While traditional developmental milestones help serve as a guideline for what is considered “typical”, it is my goal to meet each child where he/she is and help give them the tools to confidently communicate with others. I vow to celebrate the baby steps with the same enthusiasm as a giant step! You can count on me to pray, cry, laugh, and cheer with you as we work together to help your child communicate.
Within the walls of Allison’s Speech Therapy For Kids, I hope you find a place of warmth, peace, and knowledge that you don’t have to travel the therapy road alone. My approach to speech therapy is built on connection, authenticity, and play!
At Allison’s Speech Therapy For Kids, you’ll receive continuity of care. As a single member practice, I will be there every step of the way – I’m talking intake packet, scheduling, evaluating your child, providing 1:1 direct speech therapy services, progress reports, re-evaluations, and ultimately graduating from speech therapy – you’ll get me!
